Lela mushrooms

Who are we

Our journey started with a simple idea—to grow clean, healthy food for our community, using what we already have.

We began in a small corner in Isinya, surrounded by rich soil, hardworking hands, and a belief that farming could be done differently—sustainably, locally, organically and with purpose. Our mushrooms are grown in upcycled bags, using natural materials like straw and cottonseed, and harvested fresh every morning. Our subtrate is recycled as fertilizer in our vegetable farm. We have since expanded to include small scale farmers.

We’re not just growing food—we’re growing opportunities in the local communities and we’re proud to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Whether you're buying our mushrooms or vegetables for your home or your restaurant, you're choosing:

  • Fresh, chemical-free produce

  • A product grown with care

  • A story rooted in community

This is food you can feel good about.
